Seems folks don't believe what I said about how /. renders on this bloody smart phone. Using 'simple design', 'low bandwidth', and 'no icons' options.

I use the "Palm version" on my Siemens A75... Works fine... Sure, it's not the whole thing, but it kill the time when I'm bored.

I've got the palm and normal versions both bookmarked. The palm version, were it to give more than 5 comments, would be perfect. Multiply did a nice job with the mobile rendering.

Ditto for the iPod Touch, though saying that Slashdot looks great is prolly a bit of a stretch... ;^)

it actually does look pretty good on the iphone in landscape mode especially--with everything turned on too. :)

I'm glad you're happy with polished turds. I still think the site looks crap, but it renders the same on the iPod Touch as it does in a real browser.

You ain't just whistling Dixie! Several of my work colleagues have been drooling over the Touch, including a couple of anti-Apple dudes who are now seriously considering joining the ~~cult~~club.
