Helix, Heelix, (H)elix1

My little one made the comment on how my car got her coat dirty. Now that things are thawing out I figured lunch was a good time to spray off all of that salt and grit that collected from a couple months of hard cold and no washing.

Pocked a stack of quarters and stopped at a self-serve car wash. A good proper scrubbing and my car was blue again. Even took the time to dry it off so I would not get any water spots, then vacuumed it - how is that for crazy? My Bride commented, "who are you, and what have you done with my husband?" the first time she saw this sort of behavior...

As I pull out of the car wash (waiting to pull out on the street) a F150 drives through the center of a very large, very deep puddle of brine just before the car wash exit.

Boom! Head shot.
Pwned...

Worse now than before I washed it. They covered the entire car with salty deicer and I was out of quarters. Bride gave me a goofy look when she got home, but has opted not to remind me that today might not be the optimal time to wash a car or comment on the quality of my work.

When you said brine I thought you were talking about one of Alton Brown's favorite prep techniques for chicken and pork.

Ernst Gallo died yesterday, I think.
Wasn't he the guy who would wash no brine before it's time?
