for everyone
As I scramble out of the shower, getting ready for a few hour drive to a funeral, I hear a knock on the door.

"I brought these for you - they are still warm", my bride hands me boxers fresh from the laundry.

-15F right now. Going to be cold out there.

Sweet, that's warmth from the heart. This cold snap is a bit of a bone biter....wish it would snow but it's just to cold for that.

From the heart, for the cockles. :)

Love is in the air, for sure.

I'm sorry, who handed them to you? The cat? The mailman?

This intentionally obtuse post brought to you by Preparation H!

Cheers,

Ethelred

I am so not looking forward to walking outside to get the mail. It would be better if somebody would bring me warm socks from the dryer.

Anybody? Lucy?

Damn good for nothing cat.

An ex-GF of mine used to say to her blonde housemate, "Molly? Make coffee." Molly never did it, though she always wanted to ball whenever I showed up.

(Molly was a yellow Labrador, which explained both the lack of coffee and the fact that the ball was a saliva-slimed tennis ball.)

Heh. Fixed that.

Car listed -19F as the outside temp as we drove up to Crosby. As one of the pallbearers, I was really not looking forward to the outside portion of this. The funeral directors looked at things and figured with the bitter wind chill on top of the raw cold, we would skip going to the graveside. Probably a wise move (unless they were looking for additional customers).
